Inspired Adventures Club

Join now for 2023!

We have really enjoyed the Inspired Adventures Club this year, and we're going to continue for 2023!

Our favorite part of our knitting clubs has always been the collaboration with our wonderful designer partners. For 2023, we’re again asking three of our favorite designers to create a pattern inspired by their favorite place. (You can see 2022's patterns on Ravelry.)

2023's Inspired Adventures Club is a celebration of color, collaboration, and place.

2023's designers are Marie Greene, Emily Wood, and Susan Ashcroft.

The yarn offerings include DK and fingering/light fingering weight yarns - including a new Gradient Set and variegated, multicolored colorways.

The patterns will include shawls or wraps. In general, if you’re a newer knitter, these projects will help build skills and gently stretch your knitting muscles. For experienced knitters, these will be relaxing and fun.

We have a Ravelry group as well as a Facebook group for all your excitement, knit-alongs, questions, knitting support, and prizes.

Just like 2022, get to know us and the designers better in a zoom call (schedule TBA) - we'll cast on together and chat!

More Club Details

The 2023 Inspired Adventures Club includes THREE shipments.

New Designs in Miss Babs Yarns

Graffiti Park by Martina Behm

Graffiti Park is a design inspired by the “Schanzenviertel” in Hamburg, Germany, a neighborhood where I used to live for a couple of years. It’s colorful, a bit wild, has lots of bars and little places to eat and features lots of graffiti everywhere. This was our June 2022 project for the Inspired Adventures Club, now available to all on Ravelry or in Strickmich! shop.

Graffiti Park is a shawl with a simple, but fun lace pattern that evolves during the knitting and looks fabulous in a fun multicolor like “Graffiti – Multi” or “Graffiti – Red”. Start at one corner and knit up all your yarn!

Flower Ridge Hat by SweaterFreak

Flower Ridge Hat by SweaterFreak

December is here and so is hat knitting - whip up this bulky whimsical topper quickly for yourself or as a gift for your loved ones while learning a new fun stitch.

It's knit in K2, shown here in Coventry, and the pattern is available on Ravelry or on sweaterfreak.com.

Hill and Stream Shawl by Emily Wood

Hill and Stream Shawl by Emily Wood

A swirling stream of cables runs through the center of this highly textural shawl, which is framed on all sides by a lace and cable border.

This shawl is knit from one tip to the other, increasing until half the yarn is used, then decreasing to the opposite side.

The Hill and Stream Shawl was originally designed in Kaweah; Emily recommends Yummy 3-Ply as a substitute. The colorway is Provence. You can find the pattern on Ravelry, and get 25% off this pattern through December 12 with code HILL.

Tryon Creek hat by Kay Hopkins

Tryon Creek Hat is a cozy and squishy hat with easy twisted cables and a deep foldover brim.

Shown in Killington in White Peppercorn, the pattern is available on Ravelry and knitforthesoul.com. Save 30% with the code Advent2022 through Dec 24.

Aletta Headband by Kirsten-Michele

Whether you are looking for a quick knit gift for Christmas, or something special to spoil yourself with, Aletta Headband provides speed, interest, fun and versatility. The pattern is for both DK (Yowza) and Fingering (Sojourn, shown here in White Peppercorn and Suspense) yarn.

Aletta Headband is a fully reversible, double sided headband with differing Fair Isle colorwork motifs on each side. It is worked seamlessly in the round, with the edges being formed in Latvian braids. The braids form a natural fold line and look pretty from both sides. The ends of the knitting are grafted together with Kitchener stitch. The pattern is available on Ravelry.

Peaceful by Victoria Groger

Peaceful by Victoria Groger

This simple pullover is worked top-down and in the round. It is absolutely seamless; the bust darts are optional. The dropped sleeves feature a subtle texture pattern.

It's knit in Yummy 3-Ply, shown here in Lead. The pattern is available on Ravelry.

Just for You 9 by Laura Aylor

Every winter, Laura Aylor hosts a lovely mystery knitalong called Just For You. Just for You has been an annual tradition since 2014 – a little bit of me-time each day from December 13 to December 24. You get a small clue delivered to your library daily with the idea of slowing down and taking care of yourself this time of year when it’s so easy to take on too much.

This year, Laura is recommending Intrepid as one of the suggested yarns for the project (you'll need one skein). For more information, please see her Ravelry group or the pattern page on Ravelry.
