“We believe GEC fills a neglected niche in increasing advanced reactor deployment, and that it can effectively absorb additional funding…We believe its work could have global implications if scaled advanced nuclear power in the US gives other countries the policies, technology, and/or general confidence to also make advanced nuclear part of their clean energy portfolio. Your generous donation will help us continue (among other things):

• Exploring public sentiment into community ownership of energy resources and nuclear energy – as we did with Data for Progress in July 2021.

• Crafting policy to support social science research in nuclear energy – as we did with progressive Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) in 2022; 

• Engaging with communities that are "marginalized, underserved, and overburdened by pollution," as categorized by the White House Council on Environmental Quality, and the politicians that represent them – as we did with our recent special analysis of Who Represents Environmental Justice Communities (November 2022);

• Roadmapping "nuclear justice" by engaging with environmental justice and climate organizations, while deepening our connections with progressive allies – read our Interim Nuclear Justice Roadmap (October 2022) here; and

• Scaling our operations — we hired three new full-time staffers (Ariel Gould, Khalil Ryan, and Michael Mouton) in 2022 to broaden our reach and implement our agenda.
