Dear friends,
This Sunday is the Second in Advent. In the Gospel reading John the Baptist heralds the coming of Jesus. From the starkness of the wilderness he makes way for Jesus by calling the people to repentance. The purple of the Advent season reminds us that it is a time of repentance, preparing us to meet Christ as the Babe of Bethlehem at Christmas. Click here for the scripture readings.
