Cert in Manufacturing & Design Engineering L6 launched

Certificate in Manufacturing & Design Engineering launched. Level 6 30 credits part time one day per week, starting in January 2023 for 16 weeks. The programme, jointly delivered by SETU and WWETB, will provide manufacturing and engineering operations staff with core skills and competency in CNC machine programming, mechanical 3D design using Solidworks, materials and finishing techniques. Further details here.

Hospitality & Tourism Improving but Challenges Remain

A recent Failte Ireland report shows vacancies have reduced but culinary roles are the most difficult to fill. Employment terms & conditions have improved but pay & benefits still the biggest issue for attracting new staff. Vocational training highly valued. Full report here.
