A Letter of Thanks
November 29, 2022
Dear and faithful friends,
It warms our hearts to know that more of you have been added to the Arlington Bridge Builders family this year. You have invested talent, time and treasure and have enabled us to be about LOVE, SERVICE, EMPOWERMENT and DEVELOPMENT. Because the love of God compels us to GO and DO, we till SERVE on a weekly basis with an army of volunteers which are now coming from several local churches in the area.
This year has been more about GATHERING, CONNECTING, MOBILIZING and EMPOWERING as we collaborate and network with more organizations and like-minded businesses and individuals concerned for the welfare of our immigrant neighbors. We serve to meet their basic needs serving over 400 families a month through our food pantry, giving away over 300 backpacks to school age children, handing out holiday gift bags with small winter accessories and gift cards and providing benevolent support for rent as needed. Our ultimate goal is to strengthen people both spiritually and economically offering classes such as life skills / ESL and Bible studies and other specialized services, working in conjunction with local churches.
We have several examples of the ways ABB has been stewarding the gifts you have entrusted us with in 2022 and pumped about some of those same neighbors who are now paying it forward in blessing others, for example:
- Rosa F, now delivers food on Saturday mornings with her kids
- Alex & Marlen A. are part of the Hospitality team at their Church
- Luis M, teaches a Spanish class at Emmanuel Church on Sundays
- Lily S. did a Sri Lankan cooking class as a fundraiser for ABB
We hope you continue to stand in the gap with us and consider giving again this year or perhaps increasing your loving and prayerful support to this mission. ABB Donate or use the QR Code.
