Living Everyday
Wonder -- Community & Belonging
|
|
|
To affirm is to declare that something is 100 percent true, and to stand in that truth — even in the face of all evidence to the contrary. Affirmations are positive statements of intention that direct your focus to what you want to experience.
Affirmation:
As I look at others, I see their Divinity, their Wonder, their Infinite Soul and feel compassion and love for them and their courageous circumstances.

Reverend Bonnie L. Smith
Reverend Bonnie felt the call to ministry when she was in High School back in the 70’s. She attended Grinnell College where she double majored in religion and psychology graduating with a BA (1980). Reverend Bonnie then became a certified American Sign Language interpreter, and has been serving the deaf community for over 30 years.
Rev Bonnie found her home in Religious Science in 2000 when she walked into the Albuquerque Center for Spiritual Living. She moved to Las Cruces in 2006 as she started her last year at the Holmes Institute with the goal of becoming a Community Spiritual Leader in some capacity through the Centers for Spiritual Living. She received her MA in Consciousness Studies from the Holmes Institute in 2007. Presently she is an ordained Religious Science minister and Practitioner, and in the spring of 2013 began serving CSL in the Heart of Las Cruces, first as Interim, and then as the Permanent Community Spiritual Leader in November 2014.
Rev. Bonnie believes that uplifting our consciousness uplifts and changes our lives. You can meet with her for personal spiritual counseling, pastoral care, or to gain a deeper understanding of these teachings by making an appointment. Rev. Bonnie and the Center are also available to serve you in celebrating life events such as weddings, & memorials, etc. In addition, she is also fluent in American Sign Language. Rev. Bonnie can be reached by calling or texting 575-635-8081, emailing lavlight@gmail.com, or leaving her a message at the Center.

An acclaimed pianist, composer and recording artist, as well as a Dharma Master in the Zen tradition, he has performed widely in North America and worldwide for the past 25 years, and has created 7 beloved CD albums of all-original piano music.
This Piano Passion Concert is an affirmative musical prayer for world peace and for celebrating the beauty of the Earth and the potential of our Spirit. Rooted in ancient sacred traditions that see music as a vehicle of consciousness, the concert generates a feeling of healing and insight. It includes visionary art by Will's spouse Madeleine, who is a nature artist and flautist from Switzerland, as well as accompaniment by Madeleine on several pieces on silver flute. Come and expect to be transported, uplifted and carried to new inner places!
"When playing the piano, he works from his Buddha-nature, floating, not trying, beyond mistakes."
Joseph Campbell, noted mythologist and writer

Will Tuttle workshop at 12:30pm after service
"Opening the Intuitive Gate"
The Keys to Developing Your Intuition
with
Will Tuttle, Ph.D.
An acclaimed pianist, composer, and author, Will Tuttle unites both eastern and western meditation traditions and is a Dharma Master in the Zen tradition.
Uplifting, philosophical, musical, and both challenging and reassuring, this is a workshop that can change lives, as we invite spirit to work its wonders on the ultimate frontier: the human heart.
Dr. Tuttle’s insights include:
Discovering your unique ways of accessing your intuitive wisdom
Effective inner & outer practices for developing joy and spiritual awareness
Techniques using meditation, imagery, music, and art that inspire intuitive insights
How to respond to the global “intuitive imperative” and meditate more effectively
Ancient secrets for awakening the love, compassion, joy, and peace within.
Will Tuttle, pianist, composer, educator, and author, has performed and lectured widely throughout the United States and Europe. His doctorate degree with highest honors from the University of California, Berkeley, focused on educating intuition in adults, and he has taught college courses in creativity, humanities, mythology, and philosophy. He has a broad background in both Eastern and Western meditation traditions, and is a former Zen monk. Devoted to planetary awakening and to creating uplifting healing music, he has created 8 much-loved CD albums of original piano music, as well as his #1 Amazon best-selling book The World Peace Diet. He currently travels with his spouse, Madeleine, a visionary artist from Switzerland, providing concerts, lectures, workshops, and exhibits, and their intuitively-inspired Personalized Music and Art Portraits for individuals and couples.

It is holiday shopping time again!
Support CSL Las Cruces when buying on Amazon
Do you use Amazon for your shopping needs? If so, are you aware that
Amazon has a program that will donate 0.5% of eligible purchases directly to our center?
The sale has to be placed on the smile.amazon.com website!
If you just purchase from the regular old Amazon.com website, it is not credited to our church.
AmazonSmile is a simple way for you to support CSL Las Cruces every time you shop, at no cost to you.
AmazonSmile is available at smile.amazon.com on your web browser and can be activated in the Amazon Shopping app for iOS and Android phones.
When you shop with AmazonSmile, you’ll find the exact same low prices, vast selection and convenient shopping experience as Amazon.com,
with the added benefit that AmazonSmile will donate 0.5% of your eligible purchases to the charitable organization of your choice.
Please use the smile.amazon.com link to buy on Amazon.
This simple change will have your purchases on Amazon automatically credited to CSL's account. It's a donation program that funnels a small portion of the purchase price toward CSL.
Just go to smile.amazon.com
instead of amazon.com
How do I select a charitable organization to support with AmazonSmile?
~ On your first visit to AmazonSmile, you will be prompted to select a charitable organization to receive donations from your future eligible
AmazonSmile purchases.
Simply search for:
“Center for Spiritual Living in Las Cruces, New Mexico”
~ They will remember your selected charity whenever you shop at smile.amazon.com or with AmazonSmile activated in the Amazon Shopping app,
~ and then every eligible purchase you make through AmazonSmile will result in a donation for your selected charity CSL Las Cruces.
AmazonSmile will occasionally contact you about donation amounts
disbursed to your chosen charity or about the program.
Sign up on Amazon Smile
so that $5 of every $1000 spent will be allocated to The Center for Spiritual Living in the
Heart of Las Cruces.
***Note: For those of you that have already been using AmazonSmile, we have updated our name from First Church of Religious Science to Center for Spiritual Living in Las Cruces, NM. If your account still has us listed as First Church of Religious Science that will still work too (or you can update to reflect the new name).
