Earlier this week we got a real blast of winter weather! Now luckily it’s warming up making for a bit more pleasant recess time. As a reminder, don’t forget to send your students to school with all the warm weather gear they need to play comfortably outside. Unless it’s just too icy or it’s well below 20 degrees we typically head outside for fresh air every day. We want students to enjoy being outside, so having warm weather gear is key to staying dry and warm and engaged in play. Please check to see that all outerwear is clearly labeled with your child’ name.
DPS is seeking input from parents regarding assessments used in DPS classrooms. If you’re interested in being involved in this discussion , please join the conversation at any of the four upcoming virtual focus groups. Conversations will be held at 5 p.m. on Dec. 6, Dec. 15, Jan. 10 and Jan. 12. Parents can click here to share feedback and sign up for a focus group.

Our Winter Enrichment Session is just around the corner and we are happy to share the 2023 Winter Brochurewith all of you! Registration will be from November 21st at 6am until December 8th at 10pm. Please ensure you are updating your student’s profile with all important information, phone numbers and grade level.
We will be declining any registrations that do not include a parent email and phone number. Additionally, you may not “hold” as spots, we will be rejecting those as well.
If you have any questions, please email enrichment_extendedlearning@dpsk12.org. When you email, please provide your school, student’s name, and all relevant information.
