Happy Thanksgiving! I pray you’ve had a blessed time with family, friends, and neighbors over the past few days. Sunday begins the Advent Season as we anticipate the coming of the Christ through the birth of Jesus.
Advent this year will be exceptional. Dan and Connie Rice will be opening services each week with an Advent thought and the lighting of the Advent candle. This will culminate during our worship service on Christmas Eve (4:30 PM) when they light the Christ Candle, and we file out singing Silent Night in the foyer. Hopefully, snow will fall on Christmas Eve (so be praying for that). Christmas Eve service this year will serve as our weekend worship service (complete with Communion, singing, etc.).
Christmas morning is a Sunday, and we hope you’ll enjoy being home with your family. You’ll be able to stream a special message and music online anytime on Christmas Day. We hope this Christmas Season is very special to our entire church family. If you haven’t been with us for in-person worship, we’d be honored if you made this a priority.
One last thing to take note of, David Harsh will be giving a family-friendly Christmas Concert on the evening of December 4. We will take up a love offering that evening to say thanks for David’s talents and to raise money towards the $60,000 challenge matching gift announced over the past two weeks. This will be a great evening to invite friends, neighbors, and family to enjoy with us. See you Sunday!
