Let there be Light!
The Board of Trustees is excited to get new lights for our choir and stage, but first, we need your help! We need to raise $8,000-$10,000 to cover the costs involved. One anonymous donor has promised to match whatever’s given, up to $5,000. Let’s raise this money by Christmas!

Christmas Decorating, Nov 26 9 AM
As we prepare for Hanging of the Green and the Advent season, please consider helping us decorate the sanctuary Saturday the 26th at 9 AM.
Hanging of the Greens, Nov 27th
Every year, our congregation kicks off Advent with a special Hanging of the Greens service during the worship hour. You won’t want to miss the sanctuary come alive for this holiday season.

Hungry for delicious food and fellowship? Join us on December 4th after worship for a Christmas meal to remember!
Christmas Eve Candlelight & Communion at 4 PM
Invite your family and friends to our traditional candlelight and communion service on Christmas Eve at 4 PM as we welcome Christ into our world.
Toys for Tots Donations Accepted through December
This year, make Christmas extra special for a child in need by buying them new toys and placing them unwrapped in the box near the elevator.
Sound Equipment Maintenance
We are having some maintenance done on the Sanctuary Sound System. Anyone who would like to donate to this need, mark it for Sound System. Make checks payable to PG United Methodist.
Christmas Community Mailbox
Save postage on stamps and use our Christmas community mailbox, located in the Welcome Center. Place your card(s), sealed and marked for your recipient, in the boxes according the first letter of their last name, A to Z. Everyone, check the mailboxes each week and pick up any cards addressed to you.
IMPORTANT: Please put your return name and address in the upper left corner of the envelope and please use this mailbox to send cards only to church members who attend church regularly. If they don’t come to church regularly they won’t be here to pick up their cards.
White Christmas Offering
Our White Christmas offering to benefit the Embrace AL Kids (formerly UM Children’s Home) can be given anytime before Dec. 31. Please be generous with your donations and thank you for your gifts in this annual drive for the Embrace AL Kids. (Make checks payable to PG United Methodist.)
New Year, New Study!
Beginning Monday, January 23, from 7 to 8 p.m, all are invited to a new study. The book (Me and My Big Mouth by Joyce Meyer) is available on Kindle, etc. for about $7.99; soft cover is about $10.99 - $15 (depending on where it is purchased). With God’s help we can learn to master our mouth. Let Susie Travis know if you are interested (205-540-1571) The book is helpful but not absolutely needed. But you will need your Bible.
