Greetings from the New Europe Center!

Reports of possible pressure on Ukraine regarding negotiations with Russia have become more frequent in the mass media. The New Europe Center has prepared a number of analytical materials that prove why Moscow's statements about the negotiations should not be trusted.

Our arguments show the danger of Moscow's new plan: to convince the world that Russia seeks peace and negotiations, while Ukraine appears toward this sincere aspiration.

Some of them:

• Russia’s will is necessary to end the war
• Russia seeks Ukraine’s surrender, not an equitable peace
• Territorial concessions to Russia foster genocide
• Russia has repeatedly derailed prior agreements
• Ukrainians seek peace, but not at the expense of their territory

We also analyzed the evolution of Russia's lies - how the public rhetoric of high-ranking Russian officials changed over the full-scale invasion.
 

Besides Sergiy Solodkyy, First Deputy Director of the New Europe Center, prepared an analysis for Euromaidan Press in which he argued why Russia's promises of negotiations should not be trusted.

In this material, the author recalled that in the history of Ukrainian-Russian relations, one can find many examples when Kyiv was forced to make unfavorable concessions to maintain stable relations with Moscow. Constant concessions and adherence to compromises did not protect Ukraine but resulted in an insidious, vicious attack on millions of peaceful Ukrainians.
