A new database to change what's known and what's possible
As long as the supply of carbon removal is still limited, new research has a chance to provide a big supply-side “push,” dropping bread crumbs into unexplored areas of the market. This is the hypothesis behind Frontier Climate’s new tool, an open-source database highlighting specific knowledge and innovation gaps in the field. More than just a repository, this interactive tool lets experts and philanthropists filter by their own skill sets and interests, upvote, submit new gaps for consideration, and more to start collaborating. In tandem with action to fill these research and innovation gaps, the field must address needs around education and community participation to ensure emerging technologies are safe and equitable.
