With the support of our members and all of you in 2022, Recycle Colorado was able to help pass two monumental recycling bills which will go on to support our local recyclers and communities across the state.

Our staff, Liz and Ally, along with our amazing board members, were able to plan the first in-person Summit for Recycling conference and Annual Meeting in two years. Staff also completed a 6-month project with the support of Coca-Cola, creating motivating messaging to help increase recycling with the City of Thornton. 

Thank you to everyone who helped with any and all of our events, projects, and council and committee meetings this year.

In 2023 we are committed to continuing our work by

• Hosting the Summit for Recycling in early summer to foster learning and networking between industry leaders, government representatives, expert speakers, and those who are passionate about waste reduction, recovery, and diversion.
• Gathering members for networking, professional development, and knowledge sharing at our Annual Meeting in the fall.
• Providing resources and support for the implementation of the Plastics Pollution Reduction Act in collaboration with Eco-Cycle and Colorado Municipal League.
• Supporting the Producer Responsibility Bill through stakeholder meetings, educational resources and other engagement.
• Participate in the opportunities assessment and gap analysis of the Circular Economy Development Center by connecting members to the center.
• Creating engagement opportunities through outreach, education and projects with our councils and committees.
• Convene working groups to address contamination
  issues in organic recycling streams.
