Deb Hogan named as the Thomas S. Kosasa Professor at the Geisel School of Medicine.

Deb Hogan  has been named as the Thomas S. Kosasa Professor at the Geisel School of Medicine, effective December 1, 2022. This endowed Professorship appointment has been approved by Dean Compton and the Dartmouth Board of Trustees, and is in recognition of Deb’s scientific accomplishments, and her contributions and service to Geisel and the Department.

The Thomas A. Kosasa Professorship at the Geisel School of Medicine was established in 2016 to honor a member of the Geisel School of Medicine faculty whose work is noteworthy for its contribution to the fields of physiology, neurobiology, microbiology, or immunology.  The Professorship was established through the generosity of Thomas Kosasa, MD, a 1967 graduate of Dartmouth College and a 1969 graduate of Dartmouth’s medical school. You can read more about Dr. Kosasa and the Professorship
here.  Deb is assuming this appointment from the inaugural holder of the Kosasa Professorship, Randy Noelle, who was awarded it in 2016, also in recognition of his outstanding research and service. A formal announcement of Deb’s naming to the Kosasa Professorship will be forthcoming from Geisel, but I wanted to share this wonderful news with the Department ahead of this announcement.

We are planning a Departmental celebration for Deb early in 2023, but in the meantime please join us in congratulating her on this wonderful news.
Congratulations!

It was wonderful to see so many M&I families at the celebration.  Below, Operations Director, Sandi Deroin's daughter Lucy has fun taking silly pictures in the photobooth with Ruth Keane, Operations Assistant.
