Latest news from the WGC.

It's the season of gratitude and giving, and we are deeply grateful to our donors/members, nonprofit partners, founders, Advisory Board members, and all those who collectively support women and girls in Howard County.

During this time we are focused on supporting our nonprofit partners.Thank you to all those who just gave to our Emergency Response Network (ERN) request to help our partners at the Community Action Council, who are providing meals to families in our community this Thanksgiving. Because of your generosity, WGC is providing over 25 meals to families in our community.

And, on November 29 - Giving Tuesday we will be sending an Emergency Response Network request inviting donations to our partners at Columbia Community Care so they can support families in our community with gift cards this holiday season. We have opened this ERN request before Giving Tuesday if you wish to get a head start.

This year, you have given generously to the WGC's Emergency Response Network - hundreds of donors have given over $20,000 to support women, girls and families throughout 2022. And, many of you have collectively given over $250,000 to and through the WGC's ERN since we started it almost 20 years ago - that's the impact of collective giving!

As we come to the end of our 20th Anniversary Year we are reflecting on what we've done the last 20 years and
hope you will join us and take a look at the WGC's history, including our "20 Years, 20 Stories" - what we've all done, together.

Be sure to connect with us on social media and read our blog to learn more about our efforts and how you can get involved in the coming months.

Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends!

We are grateful for you.

With warm regards,

Barb Van Winkle, WGC Advisory Board Chair
