International Day of People with Disability (IDPWD)

To commemorate IDPWD on 3 December, the City is hosting and supporting a program of events that promote awareness, inclusion and celebration of those living with disability in our community.

On Friday 2 December, Rebound WA is hosting its Wheel Life program, which includes a round of wheelchair basketball and conversations about physical disability.

The City has partnered with Mission Australia to deliver an art exhibition titled 'Nothing About Us, Without Us', which runs from Saturday 3 December to Saturday 10 December, and features artwork created by local artists living with disability.

On Wednesday 7 December, Subiaco Library is hosting an Auslan signing storytime session, where the presenter will tell a story through both words and sign.

Have you found the Subiaco Giant?

A beautiful wooden giant named Bille Bob has wandered into Subiaco!

The Giant is part of an Australian-first exhibition by world-renowned Danish artist Thomas Dambo, called the Giants of Mandurah.

The exhibition features a number of Dambo's whimsical wooden creatures installed in secret locations throughout the City of Mandurah, plus one in Subiaco, who is a little lost, for visitors to discover.
