Sherwin Williams has aptly named their 2023 color palette for its earthy tones. Everyone, meet Terra and its four counterparts: Biome, Lore, Nexus, and Origin.
"The colors of Terra represent our connection to the earth beneath our feet, the enduring beauty of ancient practices, the warmth of true compassion, and the daily joys that make our world so wonderful," states Sherwin Williams.

Forecasted by style experts to be Therapeutic Lavender (similar to Pantone's Color of the Year Digital Lavender), Benjamin Moore shocked the design world by selecting Raspberry Blush as their Color of the Year 2023.
To quote their color selection committee, "Never a backdrop, Raspberry Blush is the definition of charismatic color. This unapologetic shade of red orange had us thinking: bold, bolder, boldest. This sentiment flows through the rest of the palette as we immerse ourselves in hues that make a statement."

Selecting the appropriate color for your walls, ceiling, kitchen cabinets, etc., is both an art form and a science. The same color in a different finish (think velvet versus a gloss) will look like completely different tones. The number of windows in the room, the use of artificial lighting, and the hues on your floor and furniture will also impact how this color presents itself in your space.
If you aren't sure how to pick the right paint palette for the interior or exterior of your home, you are reading the right email. Simply respond and let me know that you'd like a paint color consultation. I'll follow up to schedule an on-site visit with you to help determine your needs.

DESIGN TREND
Unifying our digital & natural worlds
Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, and Pantone's 2023 color selections have indicated something unsurprising about our culture: We are attempting to gracefully marry the digital elements we've come to rely on with the natural elements that have always sustained us.

DESIGN TIP
Infusing drama where least expected
Consider adding drama to your ceiling with darker tones, such as earthy brown or charcoal black, and leaving the walls a more subtle tone. This will allow your decor and furnishings to become the focal point while avoiding the expired "all white" trend.
