Share the Joy -- Guardian ad Litem Toy and Gift Campaign:
Bring to Tree Lighting Dec. 4; deadline December 11th
The Hyde Park Missions Ministry is partnering again with Guardian ad Litem to provide Christmas gifts for children served by them. These children range from infancy through age 20. We are also asking for pizza and fast food gift cards ($10-$15) that teens can use for experiences with their peers, and foster parents can provide treats for their GAL child and family.
Suggestions for toys based on GAL input include:
Scout by Leap Frog
Fisher Price Plush Baby toy puppy
Dolls -- of many colors, ages etc.
Cars and Trucks - Big ones are really popular!
Science kits and Arts and Craft kits
Crayola Light board
Lego Kits
Since 1980, GAL has served abused, abandoned and neglected children who are supervised by the Child Dependency Court. The GAL ensures that the best interests and needs of the child are identified and addressed in the court and community.
