RIP Evernote

Popular note-taking application Evernote was acquired by Bending Spoons. This might be the end of an era for the app which launched to great popularity in 2000 before succumbing to a series of management changes and attempts at diversification. Rather than wait and see how the new owner manages Evernote, I'm switching all my Evernote content to either Apple Notes or Google Keep.
 

Warawa for President

Jennifer Warawa, formerly Sage EVP Partners, Accountants and Alliances  lands at QuickFee as their North American President. Warawa had departed Sage in August 2019 to take the Chief Commercial Officer role at pre-fabricated office space builder DIRTT only to be caught up June 2022 in what seemed like a string of reorganizations at DIRTT.  She briefly showed up at Xerocon in New Orleans posing for selfies with CPA industry leaders. News of her latest move landed yesterday via a press release from QuickFee. Warawa's start date is November 28, 2022.
 

Sage Revenues Up 6% For FY2022

Sage reported FY22 earnings ( 9/30/22 ) which appeared to meet or exceed most stock analyst expectations. Revenue growth for the year was 6% which seems to be about where Sage generally lands ( give or take a percent ). Sage FY23 Partner Kickoffs - part deux - are November 30, 2022.
 

Silversun Reports Q3 and Reverse Merger Plans Continue

Soon-to-be bitcoin miner spinoff SWK Technologies aka Silversun reported Q3 2022 revenue growth of 8% and a net quarterly loss of $134,237.  The company says it is on schedule to consummate a reverse merger with bitcoin miner Rhodium by the end of 2022. Post-merger shareholders of SilverSun will hold stock in SWK Technologies Holdings, Inc. ("HoldCo")  
 

Acumatica To User Groups - Watch The Branding

Word is that Acumatica may be taking a hard line on Acumatica User Groups. Or maybe it's the use of the Acumatica brand to describe the user group. From this September 30, 2022 summary of SWK's Acumatica User Group SW: 

During the writing of this article, I was contacted by Acumatica to discuss future AUG SE events. It appears the largest user group gathering to date has garnered some attention. The end result, Acumatica has future plans for a customer focused event, which is great news, and the AUG Summit held in Atlanta would represent a competing event.
 

Acumatica Expects 3K For Summit - Early Bird Deals End December 2
