On behalf of the City Council, we wish all our residents Merry Christmas and happy holidays.
This holiday season, we ask you to do two things. First, please shop locally. Shopping local means keeping our businesses open and thriving. By doing this, you are telling our businesses that we care about them and their success. In these times of economic uncertainty, they need our support now more than ever.
We also ask that you be kind to one another. During the holiday season, it can be easy to focus on differences of opinion. But it is the things we have in common that make us human. Working together through commonality is something that we've achieved as a Council, and we know you can do the same in your household.
Drive Safely this Holiday Season
The holiday season is here! Christmas trees, pumpkin pie, presents, and colorful lights are some holiday season staples that bring smiles to faces. Puyallup Public Works asks drivers to be prepared for another snowy and icy season with this list of Winter Driving Tips.
Rumors and gossip are rarely factual. In an effort to curb pesky rumors that circulate around town, we are debuting a new segment to our newsletter...Rumor of the Month. Each month, we'll bring you a new rumor that we hear about, and answer it directly on our website.
The Puyallup Public Library has put together a list of must-reads for kids, teens, and adults during the holiday season. These books go great with hot cocoa, fireplaces, and warm blankets.
Remember to shop small this holiday season. Downtown Puyallup has gifts for everyone on the nice list this year. Go to PuyallupShops.com for a list of ideas and suggestions.
The City will be closed to the public on the following days in December and January for the holidays.
