The most beautiful music of the year at FPC is coming! On Saturday, December 17th at 4:00 pm the Chancel Choir and Orchestra will present our Christmas concert. This outreach event is a wonderful way to not only listen to great Christmas music but also participate by singing familiar carols with our choir and full chamber orchestra. This is a great opportunity to invite friends to church and perhaps take them out to dinner afterwards! There is a reception following in the sanctuary which will feature hot cider, cocoa, and Christmas cookies.

Although the holidays are often a time of joy and celebration, some of us may be experiencing loss and loneliness that can be felt during this season. Our Blue Christmas service will be a time where we can express our feelings of grief and struggle in the presence of our loving God. This will be a service of contemplation, prayer, and encouragement for our community. If you have questions or would like to help out with this service, please contact Sarah Chickering: 206-351-1168, chicks@spu.edu.

Saturday, December 10th from 1-5 pm. Come and enjoy Christmas celebrations at Camp McCullough! We will have a special bells performance, hot chocolate, cookie decorating, and a s'mores bar! Please RSVP using the link below.

If you are 55+, we want to invite you to celebrate the Christmas season at our Annual Friendship Luncheon on Monday, December 19, at noon. We want to encourage you to invite and possibly purchase a ticket for a friend(s) who may be experiencing loneliness and would love an afternoon of amazing food and community. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased in Fellowship Hall on Sundays after church or during the week in the church office (102 Tacoma Ave S). Deadline for purchasing tickets is Monday, Dec 12

We would love to bless our missionaries again this year with an extra financial gift at Christmas. If you are able, please donate to the Christmas Missionary Fund. Just specify Christmas Missionary Fund for donations either online or on an offering envelope. We will be collecting gifts through THIS Sunday, December 4th. Thank you so much!

We had a good turnout on Consecration Sunday with 74 pledge cards turned in for 2023. This was one of our highest numbers of pledge cards received on a Consecration Sunday. Pledge cards will continue to trickle in over the next month. If you are wanting to submit one but haven’t had a chance, it's not too late. Use the link below, or they are available in the back of the sanctuary or in the church office.

Our next Membership Exploration Class is on THIS Sunday, Dec. 4, right after church. If you’re not a member, I’d like to invite you to consider attending. This is a great way for me to get to know you and for you to learn more about what it means to become part of the First Pres family. The class begins at noon with a light lunch and wraps up by 3:00pm. We may be able to arrange childcare, so please let us know if that would be helpful. I’ve enjoyed leading this class over the past years and hope you will be able to join us! RSVP to Karen Ackerson: (253) 272-3286. - Pastor Eric
