In 2022, NWOBS launched 38 wilderness courses and served 798 students. Support from our generous donors and community enabled us to engage over 403 of those students through tuition-free programming. Thank you for making 2022 an impactful year!

The Oregon Outdoor Educator course is designed specifically for individuals interested in instructing, guiding, or outdoor teaching positions, and offers in-depth learning in mountaineering, snow camping, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, and first aid instruction. Students will spend 55 days in the beautiful and challenging environments of the Oregon wilderness, surrounded by a supportive community of like-minded individuals. Join us!

2023 Northwest Outward Bound School Field Staff job opportunities are online now. We're looking for qualified, compassionate individuals to work with our expedition-based programs. Friends, staff, board members, and alumni came out to support NWOBS at the 2022 Circle Up gala. We raised more than $90,000, and all funds will go to NWOBS and our student programming. The speakers for the evening included NWOBS Instructor Ariel Watanabe (pictured above) who shared inspiring words about our work and our programming.
