If you have already donated today – thank you for saving lives on this important day!
While we are working hard at keeping wild populations safe, hundreds of orphaned apes and monkeys are brought to PASA member sanctuaries every year. Once these babies arrive, they receive 24/7 care to help them to recover and begin their new lives.
Though we can never replace all that they’ve lost, PASA members make it their priority to find new families for these young orphans. Once the rescued babies are old enough, they can be introduced to other rescued primates and begin to build new bonds that heal their hearts.

Baby monkey Charlotte was still tiny when someone shot her in the head, leaving a pellet lodged in her skull. We can sadly only guess what happened to her mother.

Charlotte’s life might have ended there, but thanks to PASA member Vervet Monkey Foundation, she is now thriving with her new monkey family. After being introduced to a vervet foster mother, she joined a troop of monkeys that live a huge naturalistic enclosure. Her foster sister, Ozge, also arrived at the sanctuary with a terrible head injury, but the two are now fully recovered and the best of friends! However, hundreds of others like Charlotte are still waiting to be rescued.

This specialist care orphans like Charlotte and Ozge require is costly, and PASA members are struggling under the weight of so many incoming orphans. By donating monthly, you are making sure that these orphans get the care they need and the chance to build new families.
By giving an extra one-off donation this Giving Tuesday, you will give even more orphans the thing they most desperately need: family. With your help, they will be orphans no more.
