Book launch – 1^st December – For the Love of Trees

Plymouth Tree Partnership members and tree wardens are cordially invited to the launch of a new book celebrating trees and people in Plymouth and beyond. It has 135 pages and plenty of colour photographs. The launch will be in the Hoe Bowling Pavilion between 4.00 and 6.00pm on Thursday, 1st December. The book will be on sale in bookshops, the Christmas Market (Chris Robinson’s cabin) and other outlets in the run up to Christmas. An ideal present for tree lovers everywhere!

National Tree Week
Runs from 26th November to 4th December and The Tree Council has prepared this handy resource pack. Do take a look and sign up for one of the free Tree Talks; the links are inside the pack.

Another invitation

Understanding the value and fragility of ‘soil’

Soils, along with water, are one of our most valuable resources. If we want urban trees to grow well, we must provide a healthy growing medium, using existing soil where fit for purpose as opposed to the environmental harm of importing soil. Soil is also a front-line contributor to carbon sequestration and mitigating climate change. This TDAG seminar has an impressive line-up of expert speakers and it represents an important learning opportunity for everyone involved with planting and caring for trees.
