 Greetings,
The chamber is excited to end the fiscal year 2021-22 on a positive note. First, I would like to thank Molly Steel for her dedication to the chamber for the past six years. For the past 7 months, she has served as our bookkeeper, which will mark her official departure from the chamber in December.
Mark Loughmiller, Kokatat, Inc., will be finishing his 10 years of service to the chamber in December, so I wanted to acknowledge his 10 years of service and historical knowledge of the chamber.
The Chamber wouldn't be where it is today without the dedication and leadership of its members. The Board of Directors elected the following officers to serve in 2023:

Save The Date for our 2023 Arcata Chamber Leadership Awards (Formerly Business Leadership Awards and Auction) will be held at the Arcata Community Center on Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Additional information is below and ticket prices will be announced soon.

The “Annual Business Leadership Awards & Auction” renamed in 2022 to “Arcata Chamber Leadership Awards” traditionally sees a congregation of more local businesses in one room at one time than any other time of the year. In the past, it’s been a great opportunity for the diverse membership to come together, connect with old friends and meet new ones while honoring each other’s achievements.

Donate towards our Silent Auction Items
Donations are being accepted for our largest fundraiser of the year! We are deeply appreciative of the community’s generosity in this regard, as we continue our proactive efforts to support local. Contact the chamber office for additional information.
Decorate a Table!
Returning as a tradition, We are offering businesses and organizations an opportunity to advertise at our Awards night by decorating a table. There is a small fee of $65 per table. There will be an Award given for the Best Decorated Table judged by the dinner goers, so have fun and be creative!

Gloria Baker was hired in November 2022 as the Arcata Chamber of Commerce’s Operations Manager. Her responsibilities include managing all day-to-day operations, engaging current and prospective members, and assisting with events. She is the right-hand person of the Executive Director. The Hounds of Humboldt and Glow Up Designs have been Gloria’s main passions outside of being an incredible community networker. Aside from helping others achieve their personal goals, she is passionate about running a successful business and, of course, dogs.
