Welcome to our new Regional Council Executive Minister
The Executive of the General Council at its meeting on November 19th, 2022, has approved the appointment of the Rev. Éric Hébert-Daly as the Executive Minister for Nakonha:ka, East Central Ontario and Eastern Ontario Outaouais regional councils. Éric will begin his ministry in early January 2023.
Éric has served as the Responsable, Ministries in French since 2018. He was ordained in 2020. Prior to his leadership of Ministries in French, Éric served for 9 years as the National Executive Director of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society, and four years as the Federal Secretary (National Director) of the New Democratic Party of Canada.
He brings to the role a strong commitment to working collaboratively, creative and imaginative leadership, and a hope-filled passion for the church. We are grateful that Éric has responded to the call to serve the church in this new role at this particular time.
Ministre exécutif du Conseil régional
Lors de sa réunion du 19 novembre 2022, l’exécutif du Conseil général a entériné la nomination du pasteur Éric Hébert-Daly au poste de ministre exécutif des conseils régionaux Nakonh:ka, du Centre-Est de l’Ontario et de l’Est de l’Ontario et de l’Outaouais. Éric entamera son ministère au début du mois de janvier 2023.
Depuis 2018, Éric a servi l’Église à tire de responsable des Ministères en français et il a été ordonné en 2020. Avant d’assumer la direction des Ministères en français, il a servi pendant neuf ans en tant que directeur national de la Société pour la nature et les parcs du Canada, et durant quatre années à titre de secrétaire fédéral (directeur national) du Nouveau Parti démocratique du Canada.
Éric apporte à cette fonction un engagement déterminé à œuvrer de façon collaborative, une direction empreinte de créativité et d’imagination et une passion pleine d’espérance pour l’Église. Nous sommes reconnaissants qu’Éric ait répondu à l’appel de servir l’Église dans cette nouvelle fonction à ce moment particulier de notre histoire.
The General Secretary, General Council has received our request to appoint Rev. Darren Liepold as the acting Executive Minister and confirmed him in that role until Éric assumes the role.
