Dear Reader

Something that I really love about EOS is how stories are used to cement
down learnings and also to make certain key concepts memorable for our
clients.

One of these stories is the story of a husband and his wife in the olden
times who were traveling from village to village, walking with their donkey.

When they got to the first village the wife was sitting on the donkey. The
husband was leading the donkey and as they came through the village, the
villagers started screaming at them and started throwing rocks at them and
chased him out of town.

So they barely made it through the town. As they approached the second village, the man turned to his wife and he said, "You know, I think maybe these people may have some issues about genders, men and women, there's  something going on here. Maybe, this time, I'll ride on the donkey, and you'll lead the donkey and let's see how it goes." So they went through the second village, and lo and behold, the same thing happened. The people screamed, threw rocks at them and they barely made it through the village.

As they approached a third village, which is on a hilltop and there was a bridge, crossing a river just before the village, the two of them were talking and they decided that maybe it's not about men, it's not about women. Maybe it's about donkeys. Maybe the donkeys are the most important
, maybe it 's a holy animal in this part of the world.

So the husband and the wife decided to carry ttheir donkey. They carried the donkey up the hill, over the bridge, but unfortunately, the donkey was so heavy that they slipped, and they fell, and the donkey fell into the river and drowned.

What a sad story. What do you think the moral of the story is?

Basically, if you want to be everything to everyone, you're gonna lose your ass.

Isn't that the truth? If we want to try to be everything to everyone, toplease everyone, and we don't take care of who we are, we are going to lose our ass! We need to stay with what makes us unique as a company, or as a
person, and so in our teaching, we teach the companies to find their three uniques and to stay true to that throughout their journey. This will  help make them successful.

I hope you found this interesting, memorable, and maybe you've learned something new as we learn on the EOS journey every day. Have a fantastic week.
