Go "Cold Turkey" on Thanksgiving

Join us Thursday (24.11) as we bid adieu to our friend Nemanja Šarbajić's works for yet another year. To celebrate this occasion, we ask that you join us for COLD TURKEY, a set of improvisational synthesizer music by our friend Magnus Sauer - he will cook up a live-set that falls somewhere between Kraut, Ambient and Downtempo. Everything will be live, everything will be improvised and nothing will be televised!
Note: Synthesizer nerds can do nerd-talk after the show or between sets.

Saturday (19.11) - DJ Oliver Wulff, laying down vinyl sides coated with funk, soul, disco and hip-hop. You can check out a recording of his show on Querfunk called Phonosoul. 19:00 - 22:00. |

We're so pleased that the money we raised in our "Cheers for Charity" campaign is now in the hands of Los Catacombos EV! This great organization, headquartered in the cavernous basement of the Friedrich Realschule Durlach, teachers children to make music as a group, imparting social skills and confidence-building in the process. We, along with our partners at Santos Cocktailbar, MAPA, Leo-Club Karlsruhe and Black Pan Drinks GmbH raised a tidy €10,000 and we owe the thanks all to you for your mighty thirst and generosity in contributing to this project!

Tasting the tasty drinks (this morning)

Our main man Hannes has toiled and he has labored and he has toiled and labored some more. He not only crafted 9 new menu drinks dedicated to our DJs for the upcoming menu, he also made the design and illustrations for the print version - yes, we'll have a print version! In the photo (left), he is explaining to the staff how each drink is built and with which ingredients, and ultimately letting them each have a taste. The dedication of the whole team always keeps me humble knowing how much they care about the job I've asked them to do.

WerderWeinGlühPlatz 2022!

We'll be standing around in the cold once again this year with our third installment of WerderWeinGlühPlatz - a joyous alternative to the smelly Karlsruher Christkindlesmarkt we all know so well. That's right, we'll have our signature Hot Apple Punch, tried and true Glüh-Tang Clan glühwein, possibly some food of some sort, possibly other plays on words using "Glüh", whiskey, cognac, calvados, more glühwein - it's a very boozy affair, I assure you. Will we sing Christmas songs? It's hard to say, really. No one is going to stop you. At least I won't. So come and join us and stand around in the cold and drink hot wine infused with all manner of things. It will be a cracking good time. Every Friday and Saturday, starting December 2nd until the 23rd... but we'll also throw in Thursday, December 22nd, because by that time no one really knows what day it is anyway.
