Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope this email finds you all happy and healthy this Thanksgiving Weekend! The Center has three more weeks of programs before we close for the Holiday Break. So I hope to see you all soon at the Center. In addition the Winter newsletter will be coming out at the end of December so keep your eyes open for that. I have a great winter session planned, that I think you all will really enjoy!

The Center will be closed Monday, December 19 - Friday, December 30 for the Holiday Break, and will re-open on Monday, January 2, 2023!

THERE IS STILL TIME TO SUPPORT THE CENTER ON THE HILL. This season we are asking you to help make it possible for us to continue offering our excellent programming at little or no cost to our participants, as well as developing new and engaging activities in the upcoming months. Will you please consider supporting us by donating to our 2022 Annual Campaign? Your contribution will help us to fulfill our vision of offering quality programming both in-person safely and virtually online.

HOW NUTRITION CHANGES AS YOU AGE

You often hear that eating healthy is extremely important as you age, however, you seldom hear about some of the changes that take place in your body and how those changes can affect your food choices. This program is just one of the many we use to help educate our communities about taking control of their health and wellness. 

Presented by Tina Jackson from HUMANA, who enjoys sharing ways we all can take control of our Health and Wellness

NORTHWEST ARTISTS ART SHOW & SALE
December 2 – 17
Gallery and sale hours are Monday-Saturdays 10:00am – 4:00pm.

Opening Reception: Friday, December 2, 4:00pm – 8:00pm
Join us for our opening festivities featuring traditional holiday fare. 

We are pleased to host this exhibition from December 2 to December 17 that features artwork created by the Center’s own NW Artists. Original paintings, photography, drawings, greeting cards, jewelry, hand crafted candles and more will be on display and for sale. A reception on Friday, December 2, including delicious treats and live music, will create a festive gathering sure to provide holiday fun and a unique shopping experience. A percentage of sales supports the Center on the Hill.

From Walt Disney Animation Studios’ this is the tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift from super strength to the power to heal—every child except one, Mirabel. But when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she, the only ordinary Madrigal, might just be her exceptional family’s last hope.

COMMUNITY HOLIDAY PARTY

12:30pm – 2:00pm
$10 per person in advance, $12 at the door.

Pre-registration and payment is required by Monday, December 12, or you will be charged the at the door rate.

*This party is subject to all current CDC Covid Guidelines, gathering limits, and social distancing recommendations at the time of the event.
