From the Board of Faith in Action Bay Area
Dear Friends,
We are writing you at a time when so many of our families in San Francisco and San Mateo Counties are experiencing housing and economic insecurity like never before. Many of our own Faith in Action Bay Area leaders are at risk of being evicted from their homes or are struggling to pay rent. Nevertheless, our leaders have never stopped organizing their communities or taking action together, so that they can create a more just reality for everyone.
We ask that you please consider supporting our efforts to rebuild our Belong Fund. The need is urgent, and 100% of the funds collected during our end-of-year campaign will be fully distributed as needs arise from our leaders and their families. Last year, we collected and fully distributed the $47,872 of your Belong Fund donations. Your support helped families buy food, pay basic bills, and help with funeral costs, and nearly 90% of your donations helped community members pay rent and stay in their homes
Your contributions will give some measure of relief and peace of mind for those working so hard to build a more dignified reality for their families and communities.

Will You Contribute
To Our Belong Recovery Fund?
- $50 will allow a community member keep their phone on for a month
- $100 will help a community member pay with grocery and electricity bills
- $250 can be applied to the $1,500+ cost required to prevent someone's eviction
- $500 can be applied to the average $8,000 cost to move a family to a new apartment and prevent their homelessness
