Dear Friends,
It is with grateful hearts this thanksgiving that we can praise our savior Jesus Christ.
It is good to be grounded in the simplicity of our faith as we see the complex assault against humanity taking shape on multiple levels. The overwhelming display of evil has come in just like a flood, reminding us of the words of the Prophet Isaiah 59:19 …When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.
In dealing with this enemy the prophet says, For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke. Is 59:17
We are thankful that God has raised up an eternal standard for the salvation of our souls and He is raising up a standard against the evil in our day. Many Christians in Law, Medicine, and Ministry are putting on the full armor of God and taking their stand in these evil days.
The apostle Paul reinforced this concept in Ephesians 6: Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Clearly, the Lord does not want His people to remain in their prayer closets forever. He has armored His people to confront the culture in which they live. They are to live in contrast to the culture and expose the evil that hides in all facets of society including government, law, medicine, commerce, and theology.
We are living in a day when the Lord will raise up a standard to deliver His people. Let us be thankful for the time in which we live.
