You remember the 2 events I talked about last week?

Well, half the team is still recovering from them.

Okay, maybe just me
(Murtaugh from Lethal Weapon is my spirit animal)

The scale of both these events was unprecedented for us - and so is the satisfaction in actually pulling it off successfully.

Just to give you an idea of how far we’ve come - we moved over 400 cases across 5 stalls across 2 venues over a single weekend.

And back in 2018, 300 cases was more than what we could make per month.

Football fever is afoot, and surprisingly I haven’t ever followed the sport.

Except back in 2014, when I went to my girlfriend’s (now wife) place to watch the Germany - Brazil match...

That the match was broadcast in the middle of the night obviously didn’t influence that decision much.

So imagine my surprise (and dismay) when I see my future mother-in-law, also suddenly interested in football, deciding to stay up and watch the match with us.

There was only one team that didn’t score that night.

Fast forward to today, and I find myself watching most matches. How times change.

Well, there may or may not be money involved.

But here’s something interesting that I learned recently about advertising in football -

Didja know that different channels can show different ads on the perimeter barriers in the same feed?

Incredible, innit? It’s called Virtual Replacement Technology - and it’s NOT green screen as I first thought. You can read more about this here

It’s only a matter of time before these ads are targeted through Facebook ad manager :P

One day, it might even become affordable for us to ‘sponsor’ a World Cup eh?

Of course, visible only to those above the legal drinking age.

Until next time!
Rohan
