A Place in History
Looking back at the last 12 months, it’s amazing to think about the impact that the year 2022 has had on the history of Wellesley Athletics. Three new 2022 national championship banners now hang in the field house, one recognizing our varsity crew program and two for the remarkable Ari Marks ’22. This year also allowed us the opportunity to celebrate two new classes in the Wellesley Athletics Hall of Fame.
As we reflect on the accomplishments of our student-athletes, alums and teams from the past year, I encourage each of you to reflect on the people and the moments that have made your athletic and recreation experiences at Wellesley memorable and to share your voices with the members of our Friends of Athletics National Committee.
Since its founding in 1987, Friends of Wellesley Athletics has been dedicated to the continued excellence and growth of Wellesley College's athletic and recreational programs. Friends of Athletics supports current student-athletes and provides opportunities for alumnae and the College community to pursue lifelong interest in athletics and fitness. Belgiovine, O'Neal Honored with NEWMAC Champions of Excellence Service Award
Former Wellesley College Directors of Athletics Louise O'Neal and Bridget Belgiovine have been recognized as NEWMAC Champions of Excellence Service Award recipients. The NEWMAC is recognizing 21 individuals who were integral to the growth, success and leadership of the NEWMAC's rise to one of the preeminent NCAA Division III Conferences in the country as part of the conference's 25-Year Anniversary Celebration.

Can we get a yee-haw? This past weekend, B Pelegrin '23 and Aramé Sow '25 qualified for equestrian regionals in the spring! We're so proud of B, Aramé, and our entire Wellesley Equestrian team! 🐎
