The University of Donja Gorica is the coordinator of the MONTEVITIS project, the main goal of which is to strengthen and homogenize UDG and its faculties and laboratories for research and collaboration capacities and performance, both in Montenegro and throughout Europe, in specific topics of mitigating and adapting to climate change in viticulture. The team from the University of Donja Gorica is led by Professor Marko Simeunovic, and the project is financed by the European Commission within the Horizon program.

Having evaluated the impact of Riga Technical University (RTU) in ensuring sustainability, RTU has been recognised as the best not only in Latvia, but also in the Baltic States according to the «QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2023». In the overall assessment, the university is ranked as the world’s 451st – 500th. RTU has achieved the best results in the environmental sustainability performance, being ranked as the 421st in this position.
