Update on the Ganaraska Trails

As most of you know, use of the Ganaraska trails has been restricted since the forest was devastated by the severe storm in May 2022. We have been working closely with the GRCA and our local officials to ensure visitors and residents of Sandaraska Park will be able to access the forest next season, so you can make your reservation with confidence!

For our seasonal residents

Winter access dates
The park will be open on the following days for walk in access only. Access is from 9 AM to 5 PM on the following dates:
  • November 5 and 6
  • December 3 and 4
  • January 14 and 15
  • February 4 and 5
  • March 4 and 5
  • April 1 and 2
There will be no power, water, or washrooms open. No one is permitted to stay overnight on these weekends. The purpose of the access dates is to satisfy the requirements of some insurance companies that insist clients have the opportunity to check on their unit every 30 days that it is unoccupied. If there is an emergency and you absolutely need to enter the park, please contact us to schedule this for a fee

Access is walk-in only and roads are not cleared. Please exercise extreme caution if you choose to visit the park!
