Save the Date: Our Annual Meeting Is January 19!

We are hosting our annual meeting virtually this year – zoom in over lunch on January 19 at 12pm to hear some of our highlights from 2022, what MOB has planned for the year ahead, and how you can get involved. We will be joined by Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Heather Johnson who will share perspective on the economic outlook for the state and the role of the  outdoor industry.

MOB Hosts Outdoor Industry Meet and Greet at the Hall of Flags

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, January 31st! MOB has reserved the Maine Legislature’s Hall of Flags from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Please join us at the State House in Augusta to meet legislators and their staff, enjoy refreshments and snacks, and spread the word about your Maine outdoor brand and MOB’s mission.

7 Maine Brands Head To Outdoor Retailer To Showcase Outdoors + Innovation

MOB will attend Outdoor Retailer Snow Show 2023 in Utah January 10-12 with seven brand members, showcasing innovative gear and heritage industry products. 

Attendees at Outdoor Retailer will have the opportunity to meet brand representatives and view products from seven MOB members: Brant and Cochran, Huga, Mainers, Opolis, Benoit's Design, Juneberry, and Arctic Lynx Maternity at the MOB Booth.

Meet Our New Summit Supporter!

REI invests millions annually in hundreds of local and national nonprofits that create access to—and steward—the outdoor places that inspire us all. In addition to including MOB as one of those local nonprofits, REI is proudly showcasing MOB and local Maine brands at their store in Westbrook. We are excited to work with them on the “Get Loud” pillar of our strategic plan to elevate and advocate for a vibrant outdoor economy in Maine.

New Members

We are a market research consulting firm that focuses on outdoor recreation and hospitality, which includes helping outdoor brands boost their profile, engage their constituency to a greater degree, and develop their marketing and strategic planning.
Reclaimed Maine Co. is a one-woman small business, featuring handmade home goods, apparel, and more inspired by our love of Maine's lakes, pines and coastlines. Using the outdoors as inspiration, each product is custom designed in hopes that they can inspire exploration and give back to the environment. 

Kindling Collective is a queer-centered gear library creating an accessible pathway to outdoor experiences in Maine (Wabanaki Confederacy Territory). We aim to build community and support folks in the greater Portland area in building and sustaining relationships with the natural world.
