Office of Social Justice News | December 2022
As we approach the end of 2022, we’re grateful for the many ways
people like you have helped churches pursue justice and shalom.
Take a look at some of the ways you’ve been at work this year!

YOU MESSAGED LEGISLATORS.

We know advocacy is a spiritual discipline. Thank you for raising your voice with us to advocate for policies that work toward shalom and for meeting with representatives and candidates. We love these messages from kids telling legislators to care for creation!

YOU PRAYED WITH US.

Many of you joined us in prayer for our world, whether in-person, through weekly justice prayers, or with our video prayer resources. Here’s some encouragement we received about weekly prayers.

“Thanks for all the work you do! I really appreciate the weekly prayers that you write, and I read other blog posts fairly regularly. I am grateful for your reflections, which push me and us to consider the impact of our actions and beliefs on the people around us.”

YOU MET UP WITH US AT WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS.

We enjoyed meeting with you online and in person this year. You took Blessing Not Burden pictures with us at Inspire, met Professor Katherine Hayhoe to discuss climate, and everything in between!

YOU LISTENED TO THE DO JUSTICE PODCAST.

This year we released 14 new episodes of the Do Justice podcast, including one for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. People downloaded or listened to our podcast over 2429 times.

Let Justice Flow Like a River

These snapshots alone can’t reflect the full picture of working together toward justice, but they remind us that your support is vital. Thank you for helping churches develop deeper understandings of and responses to God's call to let justice flow like a river in both our personal and communal lives, as well as in the structures of our societies.

We invite you to partner with us again in 2023. Consider becoming a one-time or monthly donor by giving at crcna.org/SocialJustice/donate. Together, we can join God’s continuing work to “let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!” (Amos 5:24)
