Due to weather conditions, tonight's caroling at the SW Duck Pond has been rescheduled for Monday, December 19th, at 5:30pm. More details can be found below.

We invite you to join us this Sunday, December 18th, for our annual Christmas concert, featuring the Riverside Choir & Musicians under the direction of Lauren White. This service will be full of good music, lessons from the Advent season, and a short homily from Rev. Mia. Celebrate the holiday with us and enjoy light refreshments and mingling immediately following service.

Membership at Riverside Baptist DC

Are you interested in formally becoming a member of our community?

Here at Riverside DC, we welcome new members into our community quarterly at our congregational meeting. Being a member at Riverside is not about following a creed or requiring you to be baptized or give a certain amount of money. Membership here is about community. We want to walk with you through the many seasons of your life, and for you feel like this place is home. And we want you to walk with us--to change us for the better, and to help us carry out Jesus' mission of liberation.

At Riverside, our one law is love of God and neighbor. Justice matters, so we celebrate gender equality, racial diversity, and inclusion of all persons no matter their sexual orientation or gender identity. We draw the circle of God’s love large. You’re included.

PROTEIN PANTRY UPDATE

Thank you to everyone who donated to and volunteered for our first protein pantry event. We will be opening our pantry to the public every 2nd Sunday and we need your help getting the word out!

How you can help:

Share the information with your building management, neighbors, coop board, and community connections
Community Organizer (advertising in SW and SE, securing partnerships)
Pantry Organizer (2-4 hours Midweek once a month; Coordinate with Church Office)

COMING UP

December 19, 2022 | 5:30 PM RESCHEDULED
Community Caroling at the Duck Pond
Location: I Street SW and 6th Street SW
Join us as we usher in the Christmas season with community caroling at the Duck Pond, led by our very own Deacon Jonathan J Holley. Sheet music will be provided. You can just come and listen or single along. There will be activities for kids and adults, free hot chocolate, and a chance to take a photo with SW Santa!

December 25, 2022 | 10 AM VIRTUAL
Christmas Morning Mingle and Virtual Worship Service
Virtual Christmas Service will air on Youtube at 10 AM
Rev. Mia will be at the church on Christmas morning from 10-11 AM to share a word, coffee, and refreshments with anyone who wishes to stop by in-person.
