HDFFA HAPPENINGS

On-Farm Efficiency Grants for 2023: Applications Open Now!

HDFFA was given the opportunity to fund On-Farm Efficiency Grants for 2023! After successfully implementing this program in 2022 with over $45,000 in funds distributed to 14 local producers, this year HDFFA is offering producers the opportunity to apply for On-Farm Efficiency Grants for up to $3,000 in grant funds (50% match required). A generous private donor has funded this grant program.

HDFFA is thrilled to support local producers through this program. This year, because our funding source is different, we are adapting to a new timeline and budget. Applications are open until January 10th. Awardees will be announced by the end of January.

Learn about last year's grantees and their projects here. Check out the grant criteria and find the grant submission form on our website here (to be linked).

Broadband Access Focus Group

Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council (COIC) is working with Magellan Broadband to ensure everyone has the internet access they need. If interested, please email Magellan project manager Dr. Greg Laudeman at glaudeman@magellanbroadband.com to attend a focus group on the topic on Tuesday, January 24th, at 8:00 AM. Also, we encourage you to take Faster Internet Oregon’s speed test at https://www.fasterinternetoregon.org/#speed-test.
