The Land Owner Transparency Registry (LOTR), the first-of-its kind in Canada, marked a major milestone on November 30, the deadline for pre-existing owners to file.

Since 2020, thousands of transparency records were submitted to the registry with the last few months especially busy with activity. From everyone at LTSA, we thank our customers for their commitment to their clients, and for meeting the deadline.

We appreciate your contribution to the integrity and accuracy of LOTR.

Filings to the Land Owner Transparency Registry for November 2022

Between November 1 and 30, 2022, the Land Owner Transparency Registry (LOTR) received 11,748 transparency declarations related to registering an interest in land and 36,967 transparency reports from reporting bodies.

Since required filings to LOTR began on November 30, 2020, LOTR has received a total of 401,028 transparency declarations and 115,559 transparency reports.

Missed the November 30, 2022 LOTR Reporting Deadline?

The filing deadline has passed for owners of land acquired before November 30, 2020. Reporting bodies who missed the deadline must file immediately.
