At Equine Outreach we believe that each of our horses deserves individual love and attention even if they have not yet found their forever home. Our foster program gives our community the opportunity to experience the joy our horses bring to us.

The latest horses to enter our foster program are Blue, Nala, Harmony, and Pearl. We are so happy they found their foster homes for the holidays.

Blue

Blue has been at the ranch with us for over a decade and is our sweetest golden boy. When Susan and Jeff lost the companion to their senior horse Aspen, they reached out to us to find a new companion. It, turned out, Blue was the perfect match for Aspen!

Blue is now thriving out on 10 acres of grass with his new best friend. He and his fellow good old boy, Aspen, are enjoying their golden years under the loving care of Susan and Jeff. We couldn't be happier for our boy Blue!

Harmony & Pearl

These special girls both have neurologic conditions that no longer allow them to have careers as riding horses. Both have spent many years at the ranch being passed over for adoption due to their conditions. Then that all changed when a local family recently purchased a beautiful farm with the dream of bringing horses in need into their family!

The Zaniboni family is new to horse ownership and were attracted to our foster model that provided them the support they needed to care for the horses. Harmony and Pearl are now living the good life under the loving care of this wonderful young family. Our hearts swell with joy for these two deserving girls. Nala

Nala is a young, boisterous, mischievous mini molly mule adored by all who know her. But she was just a little out of place in our senior herd back at the ranch lacking playmates her size. Like a Christmas miracle, in walked a wonderful lady named Catherine.

Catherine is an experienced and passionate mini horse, mule and donkey owner and wanted to give our girl, Nala a wonderful foster home. Nala is now in mini mule heaven with all of her new friends! She is also learning all sorts of new things and being stimulated by Catherine's gentle and patient training techniques. An added bonus - Nala, who was our historically pudgy girl, has slimmed down under Catherine's excellent program and mini animal husbandry. She now fits into a harness and is in training to learn how to pull a cart!

Equine Outreach Full Support Foster Program

As much as we love having the horses at the ranch, it brings us tremendous joy to see them in new homes being loved on like they all deserve, whether it is through adoption or fostering. Would you like to give a horse a home but not ready to adopt? Become a horse foster parent!

Equine Outreach has a unique foster program where we offer full support to our foster families for giving our animals a loving, safe, wonderful home. This means we provide all feed, farrier and veterinary needs as well as heavy support from our volunteer team in the form of foster liaisons. A full support foster program allows people new to horses, people who maybe have space in their homes and hearts for a horse but can't afford one, or people who are unsure about the financial commitment of fostering a horse, a chance to love one of our horses in their home. While our dedicated team of volunteers gives each of our horses in our care loving care, it is just not the same as them having a family of their own.

Help us continue our Foster Program

Our foster program allows us to have more space on the ranch to bring in new horses in need. The ranch has limited capacity for horses and currently there is a great need to help at risk horses. The more horses we are able to place into foster, the more space we can open up at the ranch for the next horse who needs help.

But a full support foster program does have costs. We are not only covering all expenses for the horses at the ranch, but also for the horses in foster, as well. We still need the financial support of our donors and sponsors to help us provide the needs of all of our foster horses.

Casino Update!

Casino is back from the hospital and is being cared for around the clock. She's doing great! Our awesome team of volunteers built her a special med pen to make sure she stays comfortable and clean.
