My favorite Los Angeles places and spaces...
PLAY: Point Fermin Park in San Pedro has always been a favorite of mine. You can enjoy the beautiful coastal views, watch Shakespeare in the Park during the summer, tour the Point Fermin Lighthouse, or walk up to the Korean Friendship Bell.
CREATE: El Cocinero is the best 'Cocina Vegana Mexicana' here in the Valley. I cannot recommend it enough, make sure you try their delicious vegan birria and a vegan flan for dessert.
CONNECT: Voting is important for all aspects of community development and proper representation. Don't wait to make a voting plan, go to www.lavote.gov today to check your voter registration, find a polling place near you, or even sign up to be an election worker if you have the time or capacity.
LEARN: The Marine Mammal Care Center in San Pedro has rehabilitated over 8,000 animals! Plan your visit to learn about marine animals, oceans, and conservation through their programming for all ages.
LIVE: For quiet meditation, stop by the Self-Realization Fellowship Lake in Pacific Palisades. Make a reservation to wander the meditation gardens and center yourself.
