WHAT TO EXPECT FROM MY EMAILS

- I send emails an average of once a month unless there is an open call or a big show I am doing, then my emails are up to 2-3 a month.
- COMING UP IN 2023:
- International Performance Research Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria with a focus on the use of the body and the voice together in dance, speech, and song. With internationally acclaimed teachers Megan Bridge(USA), Peter Sciscioli (USA), Stephen Batts(IRL), Paolo Chingolani (ITA), and me, Zornitsa Stoyanova (Bulgaria/USA). Announcement coming really soon.
- Get What You Need residency updates and showings for the artists in Philadelphia, USA - Lu Donovan and Katie Mills-Yatsko.
- A month-long exhibit of my digital photo and video work in May. This exhibit also will have an open call for film participation with the theme Female Bodies in Digitalscapes in Sofia, Bulgaria.
- Continuation of my performance research Brutal Honesty, which many of you have participated in as part of a class or workshop. Hopefully a premiere in late 2023 :)
- BodyMeld is also waiting to hear from grants about starting a Trilateral artist exchange between Sofia, Budapest, and Philadelphia. As well as the continuation of Alternative Stage Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria. Both of which will have an open call if we receive funding. I have the ambition to bring some Bulgarian artists to Philadelphia... hopefully, all will be funded.

IF YOU ARE IN SOFIA NEXT WEEK

Tomorrow I start rehearsals for this amazing project with Paolo Chingolani (Italy), Sasha Krustarska(BG) and Ivaylo Dimitrov(BG). This project is of incredible importance in Bulgaria, as improvisation and instant composition for the stage is almost nonexistent.
Sasha and Ivaylo have been working for many years here in Sofia to create a small community. In the past decade, they have managed to create and present some performances, BUT this kind of funding and international participation has not happened before to my knowledge. I am so grateful I get to participate in this.
