Catch-up Sunday is December 18th.  Any financial help will be greatly appreciated.
There will be a small tree outside the sanctuary that has ornaments with specific wishes from a boy or girl for a gift at Christmas. Take an ornament, purchase the gift, wrap the gift and replace the ornament on top. Bring the gift back to church by Dec.18th. The gifts will be taken to school and delivered to the family by Christmas.

Come and be inspired by the presence of the Holy Spirit in our midst.

FROM THE HOLY SCRIPTURE

Matthew 1:16-2:2

16 and Jacob the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, who bore Jesus, who is called the Messiah.

17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David to the deportation to Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the deportation to Babylon to the Messiah, fourteen generations.

The Birth of Jesus the Messiah

18 Now the birth of Jesus the Messiah took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been engaged to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found to be pregnant from the Holy Spirit. 19 Her husband Joseph, being a righteous man and unwilling to expose her to public disgrace, planned to divorce her quietly. 20 But just when he had resolved to do this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will bear a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” 22 All this took place to fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet:

23 “Look, the virgin shall become pregnant and give birth to a son,
and they shall name him Emmanuel,”

which means, “God is with us.” 24 When Joseph awoke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him; he took her as his wife 25 but had no marital relations with her until she had given birth to a son, and he named him Jesus.

The Visit of the Magi

2 In the time of King Herod, after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, magi from the east came to Jerusalem, asking, “Where is the child who has been born king of the Jews? For we observed his star in the east and have come to pay him homage.”

1995
Ipseity held a sleep over at church starting at 8 pm on Friday February 10th and ending at 8 am on Saturday, February 11th.  The 5th and 6th graders played games, frosted cookies, worshiped, had fun and eventually fell asleep in the church basement.  Breakfast was provided for them in the morning.
