What's a Value-Added Product?
When you take raw agricultural products like fruits, veggies, dairy, or grains and turn them into a lightly processed product. Want to make pickles, jam, bread, or cheese -- just to name a few? Then you are creating a “value-added” product.
This is just one topic we want to discuss this weekend at our open house. Please join us in the kitchen on Sunday, December 11 from 2 to 5 p.m. At the open house we'll be:
- Encouraging new food entrepreneurs
- Showcasing our processing equipment and space
- Raising funds for our cook room project
- Tasting some yummy foods & drinks!
