Thanks so much to everybody who participated in our Quarterly Town Hall Meeting on November 20th. For those who weren't able to attend, see below for summary bullet points and informational slides from the meeting:
  • To be more effective, we must be more clear and explicit in asking people to contribute financially to Meetinghouse Church.
  • There was an open question regarding cultivating new givers, paired with a surprise at how low the most common annual gift is.
  • There's a desire to connect our financial asks to a broader vision for our work in the world.
  • We had a collective discovery around how quickly Foundation funds will become drained at our current rate and a collective desire to standardize how we utilize Foundation funds while pursuing long-term sustainability.

Let's hold each other in prayer.
PRAYERS OF HEALING for Jeanne Mastain, Penny Anderson, Joe Feyder.

PRAYERS OF CELEBRATION at the birth of Leela Ann to Anjuli and Hugh Cameron and Gretalyn Lowella to Stina and Steve Jost.

PRAYERS OF COMFORT for the family of Jeanne Sedoff, Terry Warner in the death of his brother, Rick.
Note: In the past 2 weeks' Meetinghouse Weekly Generosity section, it was highlighted that an additional 35 "average" gifts would bring next year's budget into balance. The statement should have said that an increase of 35 average gifts per year (which represents a 7% annual increase in giving) every year would bring our budget onto a path of long-term sustainability over a period of several years. We apologize for any confusion.

From the Generosity Ministry Action Team:
Generosity is everyday worship.  GMAT is actively finding, sharing, and celebrating sources of abundance with our congregation's initiatives and ministries.

"Do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased."

– Hebrews 13:16

Pushpay & Financial Updates

Please remember MeetingHouse for year-end financial gifts of appreciated stock and other securities, qualified charitable distributions, and/or your donor-advised funds.  Discuss this with your tax and financial advisors, and then get in contact with the office staff at church.  Thank you for your generosity!

Generosity Profile
We appreciate the grounds crew, design committee, and building maintenance crew at Meetinghouse Church who have made the worship areas and outdoor property look so very beautiful this Advent Season!

Generous Ministry
Thank you for the generosity of Karen Troyer and her belated husband John's ministry called Make Old Things New.  Their work provides housing, safety, learning a new job, fellowship, and accountability to live a clean, righteous life.  After John’s death, Karen has carried on with this ministry on a smaller scale living with the residents in the homes provided.  What a blessing you are to others, Karen!
