Dear <<First Name>>,

  • Storm damage at Arapohue

  • Full Arapohue Retreat vision and VIP invite to partner with Wild Side Charitable Trust download

Family reuinted

Kayla's work to get clean from drugs and find healing from trauma, along with our partners' generous donations making a home for them (and our amazing team), this child has got his mother back - and her two older boys (15) and (12) are also being returned to her care next week.
  • Thanks to the church family at Kerikeri Baptist Church for their donation towards helping us meet Kayla and the boys needs in Korowai Cabin.
  • Thanks to Lindsay and Sally Strathdee for hosting us for a much-needed break on their stunning Blacknose Valais stud, Stratheden near Motueka.
  • Thanks so Craig Sullivan, Louise Kapene and the Arapohue Retreat team for covering for us while we were away.

Gearing up

You can help us rescue four more people in desperate need right now who urgently need healing and recovery at Arapohue Retreat. We have just received requests for help from three men and one lady needing help with alcohol, meth and trauma-related issues.

People mover

We urgently need a 7-8 seater to transport our people to appointments and activities. Something like this... can you donate one - or money towards one?

Audit of WST accounts

We would like to commission a professional audit of the Wild Side Charitable Trust accounts in 2023. Do you know of a chartered accountant who would do this pro bono - OR are you able to contribute to help pay the bill?

Here's a copy of the 2022 financial report for your interest.

Your financial help

will enable us to accommodate and transport these new guests to their community health appointments.

Please consider what you, your family, your business, trust or organisation could donate THIS MONTH to help us meet these urgent needs:
  • Storm damage repairs to Okahu House two sets of doors $500
  • Exterior paint needed for accommodation buildings and deck repair ($1,600)
  • Okahu House partitioning (click link) to get urgently needed mens accommodation up and running $6,600
  • Timber and supplies for building repairs to two adjacent cabins for Kayla and her boys $2,200
  • People mover / van (money to purchase: or a van donated) $12 - $15,000 or donated vehicle (even a normal car would help)
  • Hoyle Lodge Kitchen Stage 1 (was $32,830 now need only $22,612 thanks to ANZ Staff Foundation + $1000 private donation)

Thank you

A huge thanks to our team and our partners for your support thus far. We couldn't do it without you, and look forward to the lives we can help change together next year. All the best for Christmas and the New Year.
