New "Historic Old Town Association" Formed

Old Town Albuquerque has a new association and it is the first-of-its-kind to represent EVERYONE in Old Town equally. We want you to become a member! The process of becoming a member is VERY simple and free (there are no dues)!

  1. Do you care about Old Town Albuquerque and want to help make it even better?

  2. Are you a merchant or service provider, property owner, or resident within the Historic Old Town Albuquerque boundary?

  3. Can you take 2 minutes to fill out the registration form? (It’s free!)

Click on the link below. Read about the HOTA and make sure you want to be apart of it. Then fill out the registration form (2 min).

A Little History:
Over the past 9 months, many individuals (merchants, residents, and property owners) from all over Old Town met monthly to brainstorm ideas & actions to make Old Town better. This ultimately led them to form the
Historic Old Town Association (HOTA), the first-of-its-kind association that represents everyone in Old Town, Albuquerque. In October they formally voted for temporary board members to lead the newly formed association until its annual meeting on March 20th, 2023.

The goal of the HOTA is a lofty one - to represent everyone in Old Town Albuquerque: merchants & service providers, residents, & property owners. The board has so many ideas to improve Old Town, communication with each other and the city, safety, but…

Before any of that can be accomplished, the association needs members who care about Old Town to vote for people who will form the official board to represent the association. This vote will take place at the annual meeting on March 20th, 2023.

Luminaria Success!

Christmas Eve Luminaria Thanks!
We created a last minute fundraiser to raise the money needed for the luminarias on Old Town plaza on Christmas Eve. Thank you to everyone who contributed. In fact, many of the donations came from outside of Old Town by neighbors and friends of old town. Albuquerque showed Old Town a lot of love! Thank you to everyone who donated and shared the fundraiser!

Next year? Yes, there will be much better communication with the church, school, etc. to ensure that whatever luminarias we purchase for the holiday stroll will also be used for Christmas Eve.

Holiday Stroll Thanks!
We have heard it from MANY people, but what a success the Holiday Stroll was! Albuquerque residents do such a great job supporting Old Town on the Holiday Stroll.
