Earn a Professional Certification in 2023 with The Forum on Education Abroad

Next year is the year to upskill! Grow your expertise in the field of education abroad with The Forum’s Professional Certification in Education Abroad in 2023. We invite you to join your colleagues, virtually with the SIT semester course in the spring, or in person at the Accelerated Residency in June, to sharpen your skills and knowledge of the “Standards of Good Practice.”

SIT Semester Course
Earn graduate credit from SIT in addition to The Forum’s Professional Certification. Facilitated by Dr. Nick Gozik of SIT and Elon University, the Spring 2023 course is structured around an academic semester model with a revised curriculum grounded in the latest pedagogy.
Summer Accelerated Residency
During our intensive residency, you will focus on your professional development and attend all “Standards of Good Practice”workshops that make up the Professional Certification Program. By the end of the residency, you will complete the accompanying Standards Assignments.

CIBER Consortium for Education Abroad (CC/FEA): A Fully Funded Opportunity for Community Colleges

Calling all Community Colleges: The Forum is excited to share that we recently partnered with The Centers for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) to offer the CIBER Consortium for Education Abroad (CC/FEA) to Community Colleges for free (a $3,500 value)!

This fully funded initiative is designed to increase the capacity for community colleges to develop education abroad programs and a workforce with a global perspective by providing comprehensive, wraparound support.

The application deadline is December 14, 2022.

Present at the 2023 Health & Safety Institute

The annual Institute for Health, Safety, Security and Risk Management is education abroad’s signature annual event focusing on the risk management issues faced daily by higher education organizations and institutions. 

Presenting at the Institute allows colleagues to explore approaches from within the field of education abroad and enhance the overall safety and security of education abroad. The deadline to submit is Friday, February 3, 2023.
