Dear ECS parents,
The week of the Christmas Feast is fast approaching! Even though the Christmas Feast is not until Thursday, the Juniors have planned two activities for the upcoming week.
The first one is a Christmas Cookie Decorating Competition. This will take place Monday, first recess, in the Mead Hall, and is open to all students. If your student desires to participate, he only has to make three cookies and decorate them similarly, then drop them off in the kitchen Monday morning, as well as be present for the judging. Our three illustrious judges are Mrs. Blake, Mrs. Herr, and Mr. Olson, who will judge the cookies on both taste and decoration (bonus points for festiveness!). Two winners will be announced and awarded at the Assembly on Thursday.
The second activity is an Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest, which will take place on Wednesday, first recess, in the sanctuary. It is open to Grammar, Secondary, and teachers. Our gracious U.H. has given everyone permission to wear their ugly sweaters from the start of school until the judging is done. The three winners (one from each division) get to wear their sweaters the rest of the day, while everyone else must take theirs off. Our distinguished judges are Mr. Weinberg, Miss vanderBecken, and Mr. Giddings.
Once again, if you have not RSVPed for any guests who are coming to the Christmas Feast, please email me (hmariemonnie@gmail.com) with the number of people so that we can plan accordingly for food and activities.
As always, if there are any questions, please let me know!
Thank you,
Hailey Monnie
