Trillium secures $10.6M in Series A Round, $2.5M DOE award

Tennessee-based Trillium Renewable Chemicals raised $10.6 million in Series A financing. Following a successful pilot program, this funding advances Trillium to the next phase of commercialization – the construction and operation of a market demonstration unit. Read more here.

Ultium Cells to invest $275M to expand battery cell manufacturing plant in Spring Hill

General Motors and LG Energy Solution’s joint venture, Ultium Cells, will invest an additional $275 million to expand its Spring Hill, Tennessee, battery cell manufacturing operations. The expansion will create 400 additional jobs to bring the workforce to 1,700 in Maury County and increase battery cell production by more than 40 percent. Read more here.
